Bersa magazines
Stick your left thumb on the underside of the front part of the slide stop. When you rest it on the front side, it makes it want to go up in the rear. It works as a see saw. I did the same thing.
I would also remove the magazine safety. It did my Bersa magazines wonders.
But your point is valid, why hop to another platform before you really know it.
I say:
Keep your 1911, you’ll regret getting rid of it IMHO.
Save up for A. Reloading gear and B. a HiPower.
I like my 1911 and Bersa magazine and don’t think I’d want to part with either.

Ruger magazines
How to determine if your pistol needs the retrofit: All LCP pistols bearing prefix “Ruger magazine” (that is, serial number 370-xxxxx) may be affected. Newly manufactured and retrofitted “370” prefix LCP pistols with the new hammer mechanism installed have been marked with a diamond in the flat portion of the slot just behind and below the hammer as show to the right. Going forward, new pistols will be marked with the serial number prefix “371” (serial number 371-xxxxx). Pistols with the “Ruger magazines” prefix are not affected.

Got to see Chris run his bolt action .308 with the Magpul. He was fast as lighting and hit the steel plate every time. Got to watch him unload a couple mags on the the steel plate at an very fast pace, he didn’t miss once. Guy is a great shot and very down to earth. Got to talk to him for a few minutes in between target changes.

Aaron Zelman Interviews Doug Friesen - Part One
Aaron Zelman talks with attorney Doug Friesen (first half) - victim of BATFE abuse. Because he happened to represent certain BATFE and LE perceived “undesirable” motor cycle clients, he became a target to effectively be framed. It took over four years for charges to follow a search where he had a legally registered machine gun - just 10 days before the statute of limitations ran out! JPFO’s “The Gang” movie played an important roll in his successful squashing of the case.

AR-15 Accessories and Parts
Military AR-15 SPR = 18" w/ rifle gas. Also a happy switch and laser and what not. I don’t believe there are any standard military rifles w/ midlength which I have been told has to do with limiting the number of different parts in iventory rather than any concern over function. Someone with real .mil experience please correct me if I am wrong on this.
Either will work for a 5.56 rifle. I’ve seen concerns posted that the rifle length might not function well in extreme cold, but I’ve yet to see anyone post that they’ve actually had issues with one. AR-15 Rifle length gas system and rifle buffer is so smooth to shoot I’m not sure I want my carbine anymore. I’ll have to shoot em both a lot more to decide.
Sorry, this is not correct. The SPR uses a midlength gas system.

I shall be the oddball in saying I like my fobus foNot particularly enamored of synthetics; the Fobus worked and it was cheap, which is why I tried another one for my new gun Holster.
I much prefer leather Holsters; but, being as big a skinflint at heart as the next cop, if the plastic el cheapo worked satisfactorily, why spend large for custom leather? Of course, THIS plastic el chea revolver holsters work satisfactorily. So I spent large for custom Leather Holster… along with having to eat my words.
Back when I was working on the range every day, and Kydex was a new phenomenon, I tried a Blade-Tech for my P220. Its good stuff, but just didn’t trip my trigger, so to speak. But I am looking forward to receiving my Kramer scabbard. The many presentations necessary to "break-in" the Leather Holster will give yet more familirization with the gun. That LEM trigger takes a bit of getting used ankle holsters, but I like it.
Anyway, just thought you’d be interested to hear that I was Tactical holster on me own petard..

Tactical holsters
I just purchased a new Fobus HK1 for my new USPc. Fobus has done some improvements; this new holster is more substantial than my old one, yet is just as light and Tactical holsters.
If you’ve tried a Fobus and didn’t like it, then fair enough. But if you’re simply parroting what you’re read here and elsewhere, do us all a favor and don’t pontificate on a topic of which you have no personal knowledge.
There is obviously something wrong with me, because from what I saw in the video looked as if
it took Two men, the fat one doing the most work, to break the holster.
If someone is trying to get your Pistol Magazines, the first reaction would not be to try and push Tactical holsters
gun clear off of your body, and I understand that you guys think that this man was trying to leather shoulder holster
his gun in his holster, but the bad guy isn’t going to be able to break it off like that unless
you help him.
The fatass in the video probably never wore a revolver holsters before and shouldn’t anymore unless
the rest of you would feel safe letting him help bad guys steal guns from him.
Duh. Get a clue and look closer.

Trijicon
The eye relief on this scope is in my opinion the largest benefit. I shoot NTC and the smaller FOV (19.3 at 100) makes the BAC real easy to use. I also find the smaller FOV, eye relief, and overall small diameter of this ACOG to be REAL nice in keeping the sight picture concise and my Trijicon Trijiconsurroundings unobstructed. Comparatively, the TA11 now seems WAY too heavy and the TA31 feels like my eyeball has to molest the scope from 1.5" out to maintain a sight picture. The small overall size and extra 0.4" of eye relief makes all the difference in the world. I’m now spoiled.

Handgun Holsters
I quickly discovered that although the Fobus was great for that purpose, it was useless for concealed carry. So, I used it during the commute and switched to a Blade-Tech paddle holster before and after the commute. Worked great for it’s intended purpose and I liked it. Now that I don’t have that long commute, I just use the Handgun Holsters and position it a little further back around the hip in the car and slip it back forward for walking around.
Pardon me while I yawn; then see my remarks above regarding gun Holsters grabbers. Anyone who carries exposed, and isn’t wearing a proper uniform duty-type concealment holster, is ASKING to have their piece snatched.
Concealed carry is much more than techniques and gear; it is very much a state of mind as well.
Not dissing you personally, Aimless; but I have heard this pap about how easy a Fobus is to break repeated so often it is getting tiresome. I’m not disputing the fact; but those "instructors" who belabor the point are MISSING the point: which is, the Fobus is intended for concealed carry. IOW, nobody ahould know you even have a gun until you’re ready to show it to them…
his sucks; I have the EXACT Fobus Holster they denoted as being unsafe. I bought it about 2 months ago because I wanted a holster for my G19 with my TLR-1 mounted. I don’t use it for a daily carry holster, I only break it out once in a blue moon if my wife and I go for a late night walk. If I am not using the TLR, I prefer my Galco Holsters Matrix Belt Slide in the composite Uncle Mikes Holster arena - it just seems a bit nice than the Fobus to me.
I’ll probably keep mine as it is seldom used. I will, however, not be taking it’s possible safety issues for ankle holster.

Eotech
Quote direct from the EOTech website’s product description of the 517:
"Additionally, a portion of the front base has been raised to allow the sight to fit over standard hand guards found on many M-4 or M-16 style weapons"
From the looks of it, it might not slide all the way up to your forward-most slot, but the fact that the buttons are on the side of the unit will allow you to butt the magnifier mount right up to the back of the sight, which may create enough room. If all else fails, I’d buy everything from a vendor with a good return policy so you’re not stuck with something if it doesn’t work.

Trijicon
At 3X30, the magnification is supreme for Trijicon Minute of Man shooting and my eyes adjust quickly using the BAC. The glass is perfect as you’d expect from Trijicon. For testing I used a different lower than pictured…one with a Geissele trigger so right off my 3 shot groups were 1.5MOA using 62gr SS109. This gun shoots 1/2 MOA easy so I just need to spend more than 1 box of ammo and practice some.

Obama and the Attempt to Destroy the Second Amendment
As a presidential candidate, Barack Obama must demonstrate executive experience, but he remains strangely silent about his eight years (1994-2002) as a director of the Joyce Foundation, a billion dollar tax-exempt organization. He has one obvious reason: during his time as director, Joyce Foundation spent millions creating and supporting anti-gun organizations.
There is another, less known, reason.
